The Drivers page allows dispatchers and fleet managers to control whether drivers can actively operate in the workspace. This includes temporarily disabling drivers, re-enabling them when they return to operations, archiving drivers who are no longer part of active operations, and restoring archived drivers if needed.
These actions help maintain an organized driver list while ensuring that operational access is granted only to the appropriate drivers at the right time.
Disabling Drivers
Disabling a driver prevents them from operating inside your workspace while keeping their profile visible in the active drivers list. This is useful when a driver needs to be temporarily removed from operations, such as during operational pauses, temporary leaves, or role changes.
You can disable drivers in two ways:
Disabling a single driver: This allows you to disable one driver individually when needed.
Disabling multiple drivers in bulk: This allows you to disable several drivers at once, which is useful when applying the same action across a larger group of drivers.
Note: A driver must be Off Duty before they can be disabled.
Enabling Drivers
Enabling a driver reactivates a previously disabled driver, allowing them to resume operations within your workspace.
You can enable drivers in two ways:
Enabling a single driver: Use this when you need to reactivate one driver individually.
Enabling multiple drivers in bulk: This allows you to reactivate several drivers at once.
Note: Once enabled, the driver’s status is automatically set to Off Duty until they check in again.
Checking Whether a Driver Is Enabled or Disabled
You can verify whether a driver is enabled or disabled by checking the Status column on the Drivers page:
Drivers who have been disabled will display the status Disabled, indicating that they cannot operate within the workspace.
When a driver is enabled again, their status will appear as Off Duty until they check in and become available for operations.
Archiving Drivers
Archiving a driver removes them from active operations while preserving their profile and historical data.
Instead of permanently deleting the driver, their profile is moved from the “All” drivers tab to the Archived tab on the Drivers page. This allows you to keep operational records intact while removing drivers who are no longer actively working with your fleet.
You can archive drivers in two ways:
Archiving a single driver: This option allows you to archive one driver profile when needed.
Archiving multiple drivers in bulk: This allows you to archive several drivers at once.
Note: A driver must be Off Duty before being archived.
Restoring Archived Drivers
Archived drivers can be restored at any time from the Archived tab on the Drivers page.
Restoring a driver moves their profile back to the active Drivers list, allowing them to be managed and assigned again without recreating their profile or re-entering their information.
This action can be performed in two ways:
Restoring a single driver: If you only need to restore one driver profile.
Restoring multiple drivers in bulk: If you want to restore several archived drivers at once.
