Editing Driver Information

Updated over a week ago

This article explains how to update driver information from the Drivers page. You can edit details for a single driver when making precise updates, or apply bulk edits to multiple drivers at once when updating shared attributes across several drivers.

Editing a Single Driver

You can update the information of a specific driver when only one driver requires changes. This method is useful when making precise edits to individual driver details.

The following driver information can be updated:

  • Name — Update the driver’s displayed name in the system.

  • Phone number — Modify the phone number associated with the driver.

  • Skills — Assign or update the driver’s operational skills used for planning and assignments, such as pickups, transfers, deliveries, and returns.

  • Groups — Add or remove the driver from operational groups used for organization and filtering.

  • Tags — Add tags to help categorize and filter drivers based on operational needs.

  • External ID — A unique reference ID used to link the driver with external systems or internal records.

Bulk Editing Drivers

The Bulk Edit action allows you to update shared attributes for multiple drivers at the same time, making it ideal for large-scale updates. This method is especially useful when managing large driver lists and applying consistent changes across multiple drivers in one step.

When performing a bulk edit, a panel opens on the right side of the screen where you can modify:

  • Work Time Limit — Set or update the maximum working time allowed for the selected drivers.

  • Group — Assign the selected drivers to a specific operational group.

  • Tags — Add tags to help categorize and filter drivers based on operational needs.

Note: The Bulk Edit panel appears as a blank form because it is designed to apply new values only. Any field you fill in will overwrite that value for all selected drivers, while fields you leave untouched remain unchanged.
