Resetting a Driver’s PIN

Updated over a week ago

If a driver is unable to log in to the Driver App — for example, because they forgot their PIN — you can reset it on their behalf from the platform.

This article explains how to reset a driver’s PIN when they can’t access their account.

Steps to reset a driver’s PIN

  1. From you FleetRunnr portal, click “Fleet” on your dashboard.

  2. Locate the driver whose PIN you want to reset.

  3. Click the three horizontal dots (...) to the far right side of the driver’s entry.

  4. Inside the menu that appears, click Reset PIN.

Note: Clicking Reset PIN generates a new PIN displayed on the screen. Share this PIN exactly as shown with the driver so they can log back into the Driver App.

  5. Click “Reset” to confirm the action.

Important Note

Clicking Reset PIN generates a new PIN displayed on the screen. Share this PIN exactly as shown with the driver.

Before logging in again, ask the driver to:

  • Close the Driver App completely (remove it from the background)

  • Wait about 1 minute, then reopen the app and log in with the new PIN

Changing the PIN after logging in

Once the driver logs in using the reset PIN, they can change it to a custom PIN from their account settings in the Driver App.

This lets them replace the temporary reset PIN with one of their choice.
