What Is Merchant Profile Deactivation & Removal?
Deactivating or removing merchant profiles helps keep your merchant list organized and aligned with your current operational setup.
Depending on your needs, you can either temporarily deactivate a merchant profile or permanently remove it from your workspace:
Deactivating a Merchant Profile – Temporarily disables the merchant profile while preserving its information, allowing it to be reactivated later if needed.
Removing a Merchant Profile – Permanently removes the merchant profile from your workspace when it is no longer required.
Deactivating a Merchant Profile
Merchant profiles can be deactivated whenever you need to temporarily prevent them from being used without permanently removing their information from your workspace.
For example, if you temporarily stop delivering orders on behalf of a specific merchant, you can deactivate their merchant profile until your operations with them resume.
A deactivated merchant profile is displayed with an Inactive status on the Merchants page, making it easy to identify merchants that are temporarily unavailable.
Activating a Merchant Profile
A previously deactivated merchant profile can be reactivated at any time, making it available again for managing orders and merchant locations.
For example, if you resume delivering orders on behalf of a merchant after a temporary pause in your operations, you can reactivate their merchant profile and continue working with them as before.
Once reactivated, the merchant profile's status changes to Active, indicating that it is available again for managing orders and merchant locations.
Removing a Merchant Profile
Merchant profiles that are no longer required can be permanently removed from your workspace.
For example, if you permanently stop delivering orders on behalf of a merchant, you can remove their merchant profile to keep your merchant list organized and up to date.
