Managing Merchant Locations

This article explains how to manage the locations associated with your merchants.

What Is a Merchant Location?

A merchant location is a physical location associated with a merchant, such as a warehouse, store, or fulfillment center.

These locations may serve as the origin of orders you manage on the merchant's behalf.

What Can Be Managed?

Merchant location management allows you to keep your merchants' operational locations up to date. This consists of three key actions:

  • Creating New Locations – Add new operational locations for a merchant.

  • Editing Existing Locations – Update the information of an existing merchant location whenever operational changes occur.

  • Deleting Locations – Permanently remove locations that are no longer required.

Creating Merchant Locations

When creating merchant locations, different types of information are involved.

This includes the required details you must provide, the information automatically populated once you enter the address, and optional details you can add to further clarify and refine the location.

The following details are required when creating a location:

The following information is automatically populated based on the address you enter:

  • City – The city in which the location is situated.

  • State/Region – The state or region in which the location is situated.

  • Country – The country in which the location is situated.

  • Map Pin – Displays the exact position of the location on the map and is shown at the bottom of the Create Location panel.

The following information can be optionally added to further clarify the location:

  • Building / Suite – Additional details to specify the exact unit or part of the location.

Editing Merchant Locations

Existing merchant locations can be edited whenever operational information changes.

The same fields used when creating the merchant location are available for editing, allowing you to update the relevant information whenever necessary.

Deleting Merchant Locations

Locations that are no longer required can be permanently removed. Once deleted, the location will no longer be available for selection or associated with the merchant.

Additional Notes

  • Merchants with access to their Merchant Portal can also create, edit, and delete their own locations directly from their portal.

  • Any location you create, edit, or delete on behalf of a merchant is automatically synchronized with the corresponding Merchant Portal, ensuring both workspaces always reflect the same location information.
