Modifying a Coverage

Updated yesterday

A coverage polygon can be modified if it was defined incorrectly or needs to be updated due to operational changes, ensuring your service areas remain accurate and routing decisions are based on the correct geography.

You can modify it using any of the following actions, based on your intention:

  • Reshaping the polygon by expanding or reducing its edges

  • Cutting the polygon using the scissors tool to exclude unwanted parts of it

  • Removing the polygon entirely to redefine it from scratch

Important Note

A coverage polygon can be modified either during its creation—typically to fix any initial mistakes—or at a later stage to accommodate operational changes, ensuring your coverage areas remain accurate and aligned with your evolving needs.

Reshaping a Polygon

You can adjust the shape of a coverage polygon by expanding or reducing its edges, allowing you to fine-tune the boundaries of your service area based on operational needs—such as including new zones or excluding areas you no longer serve.

Cutting a Polygon

Use the scissors tool to cut and remove specific parts of a coverage polygon, allowing you to exclude unwanted areas and make the coverage more precise.

Removing a Polygon

Select a polygon and use the bin tool to remove it entirely, allowing you to redefine it from scratch.
