A coverage defines a geographic service area where your operations take place, allowing you to structure service zones and guide which drivers operate within each area for accurate shipment assignment.
This article explains how to create a coverage and define its geographic boundaries correctly.
Important Note
Coverages and their assigned drivers are only enforced when using the planning module for automatic shipment assignment.
When assigning shipments manually, these rules can be overridden, allowing you to assign any driver regardless of coverage.
How to Create a Coverage
Creating a coverage is the process of defining the geographic boundaries of a service area where a specified set of drivers will operate.
This area is represented as a polygon on the map, which can be configured in multiple ways to match operational needs:
Draw on the map: Use the drawing tool from the toolbar to draw a custom polygon directly on the map, representing the coverage’s geographic area.
This method offers more flexibility and allows you to precisely match your operational zones.

Search bar: Use the search bar on the map to find and select the area you want to define as the coverage zone.
Once selected, a corresponding polygon is automatically generated on the map to represent that area. This method enables faster coverage creation.

Note:
A single coverage can include multiple zones, allowing all defined areas to be treated as one during shipment assignment and planning.
Coverage Visibility
The left-side panel displays a list of all created coverages, allowing you to quickly view and access them.
Each coverage is represented on the map (on the right) by a unique alphabetical letter, which matches the letter displayed next to the coverage name in the left-side list.
Additional Note
A coverage can be modified at any time after it has been created to accommodate operational changes.
