Shipments can be created either manually or automatically on FleetRunnr based on your preferences.

(Below describes the manual creation process of shipments)

Create Pickups

To create pickups, first visit the shipments page on your fleetrunnr portal and click on the pickups section. (https://app.fleetrunnr.dev/shipments/pickups).

On the top right corner, click on [Create Pickups], and the list of eligible orders becomes visible.

Choose which location you would like to perform pick ups to and view only the eligible orders based on location coverage area and functions.

Choose which orders you would like to create pickup shipments for, using filters, then click on [Create].

Note that, you only see orders that require a pick up. ( based on constraints )

Constraints:

Constraint 1, Shipping Methods: imagine you have 2 orders, one having a shipping method being on-demand and the other standard. The on-demand order doesn’t require a pickup, you can directly create a delivery shipment. The standard order on the other hand, requires a pickup shipment since it passes through sorting facilities, before a delivery shipment can be created.

Constraint 2, Location Coverage Area: only view orders having their source locations fall within the geographic coverage area of a chosen location ( warehouse/hub).

Constraint 3, Location Functions: Only see locations with functions to perform Pickups.

Create Transfers

To create transfers, first visit the shipments page on your fleetrunnr portal and click on the transfers section. (https://app.fleetrunnr.dev/shipments/transfers).

On the top right corner, click on [Create Transfer], and the list of eligible orders becomes visible.

Choose which orders you would like to create transfer shipments for, using filters, then click on [Create].

Note that, you only see orders that require a transfer. ( based on constraints )

Constraints:

Only view orders that have been picked up and sorted at one of your facilities. Choose the appropriate destination location you would like to transfer the orders to , take receiving warehouse/hub coverage areas and transit routes between locations into consideration. ( move orders closer to locations, to finally perform the last mile delivery )

Create Deliveries

To create deliveries, first visit the shipments page on your fleetrunnr portal and click on the deliveries section. (https://app.fleetrunnr.dev/shipments/deliveries).

On the top right corner, click on [Create Delivery], and the list of eligible orders becomes visible.

Choose which orders you would like to create delivery shipments for, using filters, then click on [Create].

Note that, you only see orders that require a delivery. ( based on constraints )

Constraints:

Only view orders with shipping methods of type on-demand ( doesn’t require to pass through warehouses/hubs) or orders that have passed through pickups and/or transfers in order to reach a location where the coverage area encompasses the delivery drop off address.
